WELCOME! I've been cycling through the Southeast Valleys of Wales since 2010 and I can't say (or show) enough about the place. I just love it. So if you've got the interest and would like to spend some time... sit back and let me show you some of the fabulous places I've discovered.

Writing About the Past

So much content... so little time! I had some amazing rides during 2017 and I've been remiss to get it all down? Writing about the past is my future.

Fabulous ride to Grwyne Fawr Reservoir with Deano... where's the write up?

To be perfectly frank... I'm a slow writer. I edit out more than what ends up on the page. I start. I stop. I start again. I need to improve my technique. I want to write more during 2018, but more importantly, I want to write smarter. I need to hammer out reports while they are fresh in my mind. I need to improve my discipline.

Talybont Reservoir just above Talybont on Usk

At my last count, I've no less than eleven noteworthy rides from 2017 that I've yet to document and some 1200 photos to sort through. I'm giving myself 12 weeks to catch up AND that includes writing reports from any significant rides this year!

Working List of Rides to Report
  • Grwyne Fawr Reservoir
  • Talybont on Usk
  • Caldocot Castle
  • Llangynidr Commons & Sugarloaf
  • Garn Lakes & NCN 492
  • Llanbadoc
  • Llancayo
  • The Guardian & NCN 465
  • Taff Trail - Merthyr to Caerphilly
  • Taff Trail - Nantgawr to Bute Parc
  • The Blwch

2018 Goal
This list is daunting and particularly worrisome to consider as we quickly approach 2018. But we all benefit from having goals, yes? And sorting out this blog is particularly important to me. I want you, dear reader, to understand the high regard I have for this writing and photographing and documenting of my journeys. It is perhaps the last significant thing I'll do with my life. I want it to be interesting.

So thank you for taking the time to spend with me... I'll see ya down the road.

Cheers! ~ cm
